Jefferson County, Nebraska

Jefferson County is a county located in southeastern Nebraska, southwest of Lincoln. It is named for Thomas Jefferson, third President of the United States.

The largest city and the seat are both Fairbury. It borders Saline, Gage, Thayer and Fillmore Counties in Nebraska, as well as Washington and Republic Counties in Kansas.

Main highways include US-136,NE-4, NE-8, NE-15 and NE-103.
